Time to change your mindset and begin to make small changes that will impact your health.
Like many people in the UK, you may have piled on the pounds during the pandemic. Now don’t start beating yourself up. Be gentle on yourself because we have all been through tough times. Now is the time to change your mindset and begin to make small changes that will impact your health.
"I am a firm believer that the battle starts in the mind..."
Walk more: This is not only good for your waist but also exercises the mind! If you can aim to walk for 30mins 5 times a week, that will really help to kick start your new regime.
Have a positive mental attitude: I am a firm believer that the battle starts in the mind. Refrain from feeling ashamed but instead, start speaking positive words to yourself! When was the last time you complimented yourself? It is so easy to compliment others right? Find one good thing to say to yourself each day.
Watch what you eat: Now this is always the one that gets most people. Try keeping a food diary for one week and that will show you where all those late night snacks have gone! I would suggest continuing the food diary or using an app such as My Fitnesspal.
Sleep well: Remember the saying about a good night sleep? Seriously poor sleep can do some damage to the waist line as well as affecting your mood and increasing your cravings for the not-so -good stuff. So, please get your full 8 hours beauty sleep!
And remember, it is ok to have a little treat once in a while. Treats can also be things like a spa day, a new outfit or a small piece of that yummy organic banana cake!
